International Conference on Kurds' Genocide to be held in Sulaymaniyah

The International Scientific Conference of "Kurds' Genocide and Its Reflection in Literature, Arts, and Media", is set to take place in Sulaymaniyah later this month.

Ariwan Siwayli, Director of the Sulaymaniyah Directorate of Media and Publishing, told PUKMEDIA that on Saturday, 16 August 2025, the organising committee of the conference convened to finalise preparations. 

He stated that key personalities, figures, and organisations had been selected, and that responsibilities were allocated among the committee members to ensure effective coordination.

The conference is scheduled for 25–26 August 2025 and will be held under the supervision of Hama Hama Saeed, Minister of Culture and Youth of the Kurdistan Regional Government, at the High Crest Hotel in Sulaymaniyah.
