CTG Arrests ISIS Terrorist in Garmian

The General Directorate of Counter-Terrorism (CTG) has apprehended a wanted terrorist in Garmian Administration and subsequently handed him over to Iraqi security authorities.

According to a statement released to PUKMEDIA, the arrest followed precise intelligence operations conducted by the CTG forces.

The individual arrested joined the Islamic State (ISIS) at the onset of its activities and held multiple administrative and military roles within the organisation. He, along with his brothers, was implicated in numerous killings and was wanted under Article 4 of the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Law.

Following the operation, the suspect was transferred to Iraqi security agencies to face legal proceedings and punishment.
