Kurdistan VP and German Military Delegation Reaffirm Cooperation as New Commander Takes Office

Kurdistan VP welcomes a German military delegation.

Today, Tuesday, Sheikh Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa, Vice President of the Kurdistan Region, received Colonel Peter Cooper, Commander of the German forces within the Global Coalition in the Kurdistan Region, along with his accompanying delegation, on the occasion of the conclusion of his tenure.

The Vice President expressed his gratitude to Colonel Cooper for his service as military commander of the German forces and spoke of the significant role played by them within the Global Coalition against ISIS.

He also extended his congratulations to Colonel Sebastian Klinck on his appointment as the new military commander, wishing him success in his new role.

In turn, Colonel Cooper thanked the relevant authorities in the Kurdistan Region for their support and cooperation, which contributed to the success of his duties, and reaffirmed his country’s continued military support to the Peshmerga.
