The Allies' Financial Aid for July Distributed to Peshmerga Forces.
On Thursday, 7 August 2025, the Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) began distributing allied financial assistance for the month of July to members of the joint Peshmerga brigades.
In an official statement, the Ministry announced that over 74,000 Peshmerga personnel are benefiting from this month’s assistance — a notable increase compared to June.
“This marks another important step in strengthening the partnership between the allies and the Ministry of Peshmerga,” the statement said, describing the support as a continued achievement in multilateral cooperation.
According to the Ministry, a total of 74,400 individuals are receiving financial aid for July. The breakdown of beneficiaries by province is as follows:
34,900 in Erbil
15,700 in Sulaymaniyah
23,800 in Duhok
The allies transferred the financial assistance on 5 August 2025. Following financial and administrative procedures carried out by the General Directorate of Budget and Programmes, distribution commenced today.
