German Military Delegation Pays Tribute to Late President Mam Jalal

A German Military Delegation visits Mam Jalal’s grave in Sulaymaniyah.

A German military delegation, led by Colonel Peter Koper, Commander of the German Forces, paid a visit to the grave of the late President Mam Jalal in Sulaymaniyah.

The delegation was received by Ambassador Dr Mohammed Saber, Head of the Mam Jalal Foundation, along with several members of the President’s Secretariat.

Following the laying of a wreath at the shrine, the head of the delegation signed the memorial book, in which he commended the significant role played by the late President Mam Jalal in the reconstruction of the new Iraq. He also spoke of the strong ties between Germany and the people of Kurdistan.

In return, members of the President’s Secretariat extended their gratitude to the government and people of Germany, expressing their deep appreciation for the sacrifices made by Germany in the fight against terrorism and for the support provided to the Peshmerga forces.
