United States President Donald Trump has returned to the US after completing a four-day visit to the Middle East, which included official stops in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. The trip focused on enhancing defence and economic cooperation, resulting in a number of multi-billion dollar agreements.

Air Force One landed at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland earlier today, following a brief refuelling stop at RAF Mildenhall in the United Kingdom.

President Trump’s return comes shortly after the birth of his grandson, Alexander Trump Boulos, the first child of his daughter Tiffany Trump, born on 15 May. He had previously expressed his eagerness to return to Washington to meet the newest addition to the family.

During the trip, Trump announced agreements totalling over $4 trillion, including a $600 billion investment from Saudi Arabia, a $96 billion Boeing aircraft deal with Qatar (alongside a $400 million aircraft gift), and a $1.4 trillion AI-focused partnership with the UAE, involving Nvidia chip imports and a major data centre project. These deals are part of a wider initiative to strengthen economic ties with Gulf nations across defence, aviation, and technology sectors.

During the trip, President Trump also reiterated his intention to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, stating that such a meeting would be essential for making progress in efforts to address the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. However, no specific date has been confirmed for the talks.

The visit concluded with both diplomatic and personal milestones, as the US President resumes his duties in Washington.
