Kurdistan VP Receives Military Advisor of the Dutch Forces

Sheikh Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa, Vice President of the Kurdistan Region, received Colonel Linda Kapelle, the newly appointed Military Advisor of the Dutch Forces.

Vice President Sheikh Mustafa extended his congratulations to Colonel Kapelle on her new appointment and wished her success in her mission. He also affirmed his full support and readiness to cooperate in ensuring the success of her duties.

Colonel Kapelle expressed her pleasure at having the opportunity to assume her duties in the Kurdistan Region, emphasising the importance of maintaining strong relations and enhancing bilateral cooperation between the Netherlands and the Kurdistan Region.

The meeting, which was attended by the Deputy Consul General of the Netherlands in the Kurdistan Region, discussed the latest political and security situation in the region, the formation of the new cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government, the threat of the Islamic State (ISIS) to the region, changes and developments in Syria, and the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas.
