On Yazidi New Year, Iraqi President Stresses Resolving Yazidi Issues as a National Duty

The President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, shared a message on his X account to mark the Yazidi New Year, highlighting the urgent need to address the plight of the displaced and abducted.
Iraqi President’s message reads as follows:
I extend my warmest congratulations and blessings to our Yazidi community on the occasion of the Yazidi New Year, and wish them a joyful celebration filled with peace and goodwill.
This year’s celebration brings renewed hope for the return of all displaced individuals to their cities and homes, the strengthening of security and stability in Sinjar, and the clarification of the fate of those still missing. We reaffirm our full and unwavering support in achieving these goals.
Resolving these longstanding issues is a national duty and stands as a tribute to the immense sacrifices made by the Yazidi community, alongside our brave security forces in all their formations, in the fight against ISIS and the defeat of its sinister agenda.
