Qubad Talabani Extends Warm Wishes to Yazidi Community, Urges Reconstruction of Sinjar

Qubad Talabani extended a message on the occasion of the Yazidi New Year, urging the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and Kurdish representatives in Iraq to prioritise the reconstruction of Yazidi areas. 

Deputy PM’s message reads as follows:

On the occasion of Red Wednesday, the Yazidi New Year, I convey my warmest congratulations to our Yazidi brothers and sisters, and wish them a celebration filled with joy and a sense of security.

The Yazidi community forms an essential and inseparable part of Kurdistan. It is therefore the responsibility of the KRG, all Kurdish political parties and forces, as well as Kurdish representatives in Baghdad, to unite in efforts to rebuild Sinjar and other Yazidi areas, and to ensure a safe, stable, and dignified life for our Yazidi brothers and sisters.
