PUK President, Iraqi PM to Meet in Sulaymaniyah

The Iraqi Prime Minister is scheduled to visit Sulaymaniyah on Wednesday, 16 April 2025, to meet with Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), PUK bloc parliamentarian announced on Sunday, 13 April 2025.
"Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani is scheduled to visit Sulaymaniyah next Wednesday, 16 April 2025, and hold a meeting with PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani," Sozan Mansour, spokesperson for the PUK bloc in the Iraqi Parliament, told PUKMEDIA.
She added, "PM Sudani is expected to attend the Sulaymaniyah Forum, which is organised annually by the American University of Iraq – Sulaymaniyah (AUIS) and is attended by political and academic elites from the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, the region, and the world. He will also hold a series of meetings with heads of political parties."
On 10 April 2025, the PUK President met with the Iraqi Prime Minister in Baghdad. They discussed the most recent events in Iraq and the region, stressed the need to keep the nation away from conflicts, and other topics of mutual interest.
