PUK President Reaffirms PUK’s Commitment to Regional Stability

PUK President's meeting with Egyptian Politician, Mr. Zahran.
Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), welcomed Mohammed Farid Saad Zahran, the Egyptian intellectual, politician, and Leader of the Egyptian Social Democratic Party, at Dabashan, Sulaymaniyah.
During a cordial meeting, the two sides discussed recent political developments in the Middle East and their potential consequences. They also highlighted the importance of strengthening and developing the long-standing relations between the Kurdish and Egyptian peoples, aiming to expand coordination and joint action to protect their shared interests.
President Bafel Jalal Talabani warmly welcomed Mr. Zahran to the Kurdistan Region and Sulaymaniyah and expressed his hope that this visit would serve as a catalyst for renewed cooperation and the revitalisation of ties between the two nations. He noted that the foundation of this relationship had been laid by the late President Mam Jalal. The PUK President reaffirmed that the PUK continues to follow the same policy and strategy, working alongside all its allies to improve the lives of citizens, strengthen the Kurdistan Region, and maintain stability in the area.
