PUK President, Dutch CG Discuss Strengthening Cooperation and Economic Ties

PUK President & Dutch CG meet at Dabashan.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), welcomed Adriaan IJsselstein, the Dutch Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, at Dabashan, Sulaymaniyah.

During the meeting, President Bafel emphasised the PUK’s ambition to foster relations and bolster joint cooperation with the Netherlands across various sectors, which he said would lead to improved services and greater coordination between both parties.

He also highlighted the significant and influential role played by the Dutch government and businesses in fortifying the economic framework of the Kurdistan Region, expressing his hope that these ties would further develop. He called on Dutch entrepreneurs to invest their funds and affirmed his readiness to offer all necessary support and assistance.


The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss several issues of mutual interest, with both sides exchanging their views.
