PUK President: We Renew Our Commitment to Protecting the Yazidis' Rights

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), issued a statement to mark 'Feast of Ezid', extending his congratulations to the Yazidis and reaffirming his commitment to safeguarding their rights.
The full text of the PUK President's message is as follows:
On the occasion of Feast of Ezid, I offer my heartfelt congratulations to the Yazidi brothers and sisters, hoping they celebrate this holiday in happiness, safety, and peace.
The Yazidi community has endured many hardships in recent years, and we have always stood by them in their quest for their rights. On this occasion, we reaffirm our dedication to protecting the rights and preserving the authentic heritage of the Yazidi faith. We remain committed to fostering a spirit of unity and coexistence among all the ethnic groups and communities of Kurdistan.
The PUK will continue to support the Yazidi people in their efforts, and we urge all parties to act responsibly regarding the situation in Sinjar, working towards the city’s reconstruction and the return of displaced individuals to their homeland.
The PUK will always stand by you in achieving your aspirations and overcoming the scars of past hardships.
