DPM Talabani Stresses Need for Increased Focus on Tourism in Darbandikhan

On Sunday, December 15, 2024, Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, visited the Darbandikhan district in Sulaymaniyah province, where he spoke with the mayor and officials of the district's administrative divisions.
During a meeting with Darbandikhan officials, DPM Talabani addressed the state of services in Darbandikhan, highlighting existing problems and deficiencies. He emphasised his commitment to collaborating with the government team and local officials to solve these shortcomings and enhance service delivery for the region and its citizens.
The Deputy Prime Minister instructed district officials to implement all necessary efforts towards facilitating citizens' affairs. He stated: "To enhance service to the residents of Darbandikhan, necessary changes will be made in the district's administrative positions."
The governor and district administrative officials delivered a report on the projects that are most demanded by the residents of the area, and DPM Talabani emphasised his commitment to following up and carrying out these demands.
DPM Talabani also stated that the Kalar-Darbandikhan road will be finalised early next year and fully accessible to motorists, addressing a significant regional demand. He also stated that work will start soon on the Darbandikhan water network project to resolve this issue, which is a priority for the citizens.
He emphasised the need for increased focus on tourism and urged investors to allocate resources to this sector to facilitate development and create employment opportunities for residents.
