On Friday, the general population census teams resumed their work for the third consecutive day across Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, following an extension of the working period.
The census operation began on Wednesday morning and will continue until midnight, with enumerators visiting homes to complete and verify data.
The Supreme Commission for the General Population Census in Iraq has decided to extend working hours in governorates where the process remains incomplete, extending operations until Friday evening, 22 November 2024.
In a statement received by PUKMEDIA, the Supreme Commission called on citizens who have not yet been visited by census teams to remain in their homes.
Additionally, the Commission announced the lifting of the curfew within governorates' administrative boundaries, while maintaining restrictions on vehicle and citizen movement between governorates until midnight tomorrow.
