National Census First Stage Begins

On Friday, November 15, 2024, the first phase of Iraq's national census got underway in all of the country's provinces, including the Kurdistan Region.

The first stage of the national census is scheduled to continue until November 19, 2024, according to Iraq’s Ministry of Planning.

The Planning Ministry’s teams will visit houses all over the 19 Iraqi provinces during the first stage to register family members living in each of the houses and receive their documents.

The second phase will begin on November 20–21, 2024, following the first, when a curfew will be implemented and all family members must remain at their homes.
