The Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) congratulates the members of the Kurdistan Women's Union (KWU) on its 35th anniversary of establishment.

The Kurdistan Women's Union has achieved remarkable sovereignty in its history, successfully emphasising the role of women as an independent organisation to further their participation in all areas of struggle. The involvement of several women in political leadership and governance, as well as their expertise in the country's management, demonstrates the efficacy of your organisation's educational initiatives. The PUK has consistently championed women's rights; we reaffirm our support for your organisation's efforts and emphasise the need of recognising women's roles in attaining their lawful rights.
