PUK President Promises Justice for Martyr Mohammed Rashid Zhalayi

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, sent a message of condolence to the family of Mr. Mohammed Rashid Zhalayi, a Peshmerga of the General Directorate of Operations of the Kurdistan Region Security (Asayish) Agency, who was martyred while fighting against ISIS terrorists and defending Kurdistan. 

PUK President said in a statement: "The martyrdom of Mr. Mohammed Rashid Zhalayi, a Peshmerga from the General Directorate of Operations of the Kurdistan Region Security Agency, during the fight against ISIS terrorists and in the defence of Kurdistan, has deeply saddened us."

He added: "I extend our heartfelt condolences to his proud family, friends, and General Directorate of Operations. I pray for the swift recovery of the wounded."

"We assure everyone that the security and stability of Kurdistan is a red line. As long as we have these heroic and dedicated forces, our people will live in peace and security. We promise the proud family of martyr Mohammed and his comrades that we will seek justice for this bloodshed and leave no room for terrorists," said President Bafel.

Mohammed Rashid Zhalayi was martyred during an operation by the forces of Security, the Counter Terrorism Group, and the Kurdistan Commando Forces, which resulted in the elimination of several terrorists who had infiltrated Shwan town, in Kirkuk Province.
