Kurdistan Forces Conduct Successful Operation Against ISIS Terrorists in Kirkuk

The forces of Security (Asayish), the Counter Terrorism Group (CTG), and the Kurdistan Commando Forces have successfully conducted an operation against terrorists in Shwan town, Kirkuk Province, resulting in the elimination of several terrorists.

In a statement released to PUKMEDIA, the Kurdistan Region Security Agency stated: "The General Directorate of Operations of the Kurdistan Regional Security Agency, along with the CTG and the Kurdistan Commando Forces, carried out a coordinated ground and air operation. This effort was supported by precise intelligence and conducted in collaboration with the Iraqi Ministry of Defense, the Kirkuk Operations Room, and Global Coalition forces. The operation successfully killed a number of armed Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists who had infiltrated Shwan town yesterday."

The statement further emphasised that "the entire area was under surveillance last night until the operation was successfully completed," ensuring a thorough and effective response to the threat posed by the terrorists.
