Qubad Talabani Allocates Over 3 Billion IQD to Serve Sports Sector

During a meeting with the Sports Board and the Supreme Sports Committee of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Qubad Talabani, Head of the Secretariat Bureau of President Mam Jalal, allocated more than three billion Iraqi dinars to serve the sports sector.
The Funding will be designated for the construction, refurbishment, and equipping of stadiums in Sulaymaniyah, Halabja, Raparin, Garmian, and Bardarash district within Duhok province.
The budget has been designated for 31 projects, which include the renovation of numerous stadiums, the construction of several stadiums, and the fulfilment of requirements for several other stadiums.
The initiative will address many problems and deficiencies in the sports infrastructure, enabling local clubs and teams to enhance their capabilities within their regions.
Qubad Talabani directed the Sports Board to enhance the professionalise sports for athletics and to invest in the sports sector. He provided them with ideas and projects for addressing the current and forthcoming stages.
