PUK 129 Campaigning Under Green Umbrella.

The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) is using a new technique to campaign for the Kurdistan parliamentary elections where it has set up green umbrellas with young campaigners offering free general medical tests and handing out brochures of PUK's programme for the 6th term of the parliament.

Dr. Chro Shahab, a member of the executive committee of the Green Umbrella Project, told PUKMEDIA: "We have installed over 100 umbrellas across Sulaymaniyah city, and more than 70 health teams have been deployed, with each umbrella comprising five cadres from List 129 and three healthcare cadres."

She further stated: "Umbrellas will be positioned in provinces, independent administrations, and all districts and sub-districts to introduce the PUK List 129 candidates and programme to the people, as well as to instruct citizens on how to vote for PUK 129."

“There are also volunteering healthcare teams offering medical tests to passersby," she added.

The sixth term of the Kurdistan parliamentary elections is scheduled to take place on October 20, 2024. The PUK is contesting with PUK List 129 and 172 candidates under the slogans "Correcting the Course of Governance" and "We Will End It."
