The Counter-Terrorism Group (CTG) announced that they have been invited to participate the Annual Warrior Competition, which will be launched in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
The CTG said in a statement obtained by PUKMEDIA: "We are proud to announce that this year, the heroes of our homeland representing the CTG will participate as the first Kurdish special force in the 13th International Warrior Competition for the first time, which will take place at the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Centre in Amman, Jordan."
The statement added: "The CTG's participation, with numerous other elite special forces from 19 nations, demonstrates the significance of this group and its exceptional skills in effectively battling terrorism."
Each year, the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) invites Jordanian and international teams, from Special Operations Forces and Law Enforcement Units, to participate in the Warrior Competition and compete in a series of challenging events designed to test their skills and endurance. Participants in the Warrior Competition are given the unique opportunity of training and networking at one of the most advanced combat-training facilities in the world.
A total of 33 teams representing 20 countries have registered for the event, with an additional 13 nations attending as observers. The competition has garnered global attention for its rigorous challenges designed to test endurance, teamwork, and combat skills, utilizing advanced military missions, weapons, and modern facilities that focus on special forces, counter-terrorism, and internal security operations.
