Qubad Talabani, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, officially opened the Hub Foundation Centre in Sulaymaniyah. This centre is dedicated to providing training and support to young innovators and entrepreneurs, helping them to develop their ideas and projects.
The inauguration of the Foundation Hub Centre occurred on the evening of Monday, August 19, 2024, in the presence of Haval Abubakr, the Governor of Sulaymaniyah, and consuls of several countries in the Kurdistan Region.
DPM Talabani stated that the establishment of this centre was the outcome of extensive deliberations with entrepreneurs and business owners in Kurdistan, while its primary objective is to provide assistance to young entrepreneurs and those with innovative ideas.
The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the positive outcomes of the Sulaymaniyah International Innovation & Entrepreneurship Forum, which took place earlier this year.
He stated that these outcomes included streamlining procedures and alleviating the challenges faced by aspiring business owners. However, despite these improvements, certain obstacles still persist. The establishment of this centre aims to address these obstacles by fostering collaboration and providing support to young entrepreneurs in launching their own projects.
"The purpose of this centre is to serve as an umbrella for young individuals with creative and entrepreneurial aspirations. It will provide them with legal and professional guidance to effectively address and overcome challenges and barriers," he remarked.
