DPM Talabani: Five more projects will be opened in Sulaymaniyah

During the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani addressed the media, saying, "I congratulate the Sulaymaniyah Municipality and Garmian Company on successfully executing this exceptional project, which will effectively address the majority of the traffic jams in this location."

"Five more projects, similar to the intersection and underpass in front of Bakhtiari Garden, will be launched in the future, elevating Sulaymaniyah to an advanced city in terms of its transportation system in Iraq," he added.

"Investment opportunities in Sulaymaniyah province have increased significantly. Sulaymaniyah was named Iraq's leading province for investment in 2023, thanks in large part to our meetings with provincial government offices and our request that they reduce regulatory procedures," said Deputy Prime Minister Talabani.

The project will solve some of the traffic issues

"This project holds significant importance in Sulaymaniyah. The completion of the project will lead to a significant reduction in traffic jams and congestion at the Sulaymaniyah gate," DPM Talabani said.

The project began on August 30, 2022, with a budget of 12.5 billion dinars and was overseen by Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani. Today, June 8, 2024, the project was made accessible to drivers.
