DPM Talabani: Will of Iranian People Will Overcome Challenging Days

Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani and Iranian Consul General Nasrollah Rashnoudi.
Qubad Talabani, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, paid a visit to the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Erbil on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
DPM Talabani conveyed the Kurdistan Regional Government's condolences to Iranian Consul General Nasrollah Rashnoudi and Iranian diplomats for the passing of President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and their companions.
"We have faith that the will of the Iranian people and government to overcome this stage and endure these challenging days," he stated.
DPM Talabani previously sent a message of condolences to the supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the government and the people of Iran.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and an accompanying delegation were returning from East Azerbaijan province when their helicopter crashed in Tabriz province on Sunday, May 19, 2024. Iranian official media reported that all the passengers were killed.
