The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President, Bafel Jalal Talabani, congratulated the Yazidis on their New Year's celebration.

Happy Yazidi New Year to all Yazidi brothers and sisters, and I hope you enjoy this holiday in peace and comfort.

The PUK values the Yazidis' role and position in expanding the spirit of peace and harmony, which has made the Kurdistan Region more diverse and brighter.

We eagerly support the Yazidi brothers and sisters in protecting their rights and achieving their goals, and we will continue to work to normalise the situation in Sinjar and stop their suffering.
