Bafel Jalal Talabani, the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), extended his congratulations to Christians on the occasion of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Akito Feast, and the Babylonian New Year.
The message from the President of PUK stated:
On the occasion of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ Feast, the Akito Feast, and the Babylonian New Year, I offer my heartfelt congratulations to the Christian community (the Chaldeans, Syriacs, Assyrians). May they celebrate this holiday joyfully and securely.
On this occasion, I reiterate the unwavering dedication of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan to fostering harmonious coexistence and safeguarding the rights of all religious communities and sects. The Kurdistan Region has consistently served as a haven for harmony and mutual existence, and we will persist in our efforts to uphold this diversity.
