Qubad Talabani: Our Primary Focus is Kurdistan Region's Budget & Salary Issues

Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani met with Stephen Hitchen, the British Ambassador to Iraq, to discuss the Kurdistan parliamentary elections, the relationship between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad, and various other matters of mutual interest.

Talabani emphasized the need to conduct the Kurdistan parliamentary elections on the scheduled date during the meeting in Erbil on Wednesday, which was attended by James Goldman, the British Consul General in the Kurdistan Region.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that ongoing efforts are being made to address the problems between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad, particularly on the budget. He highlighted that the primary focus is on resolving the issues of budget and employees' salaries. 

Furthermore, Talabani expressed gratitude to the UK for its support to the Kurdistan Region, particularly in fostering a better understanding between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad.
