Qubad Talabani: UNAMI is Reliable Witness of Events in Iraq & Kurdistan

Kurdistan Region's Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani and Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Iraq Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert met to discuss several matters of shared interest.

During the meeting in Erbil, Qubad Talabani and Jeanine Plasschaert discussed the latest developments in Iraq, the Kurdistan Region, and the surrounding area. 

The discussion centred on the political situation and emphasised the importance of resolving problems through negotiation in accordance with Iraq's Constitution. 

The Deputy Prime Minister praised UNAMI for its diplomatic efforts in resolving sensitive issues in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. He stated, "UNAMI is a reliable witness to the events taking place in Iraq and Kurdistan. They use their global platform to raise the voices of those who remain silent to the world."
