PUK President Delivers PUK’s Message to Allies

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), attended the 2024 Munich Security Conference (MSC) where he had the opportunity to directly deliver PUK’s message to friends and allies around the world.
President Bafel held meetings with heads of state, diplomats, politicians, as well as military and security experts, both in private and official settings, he was able to convey the seriousness of the situation on the ground in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
He also emphasized the fact that the war against terrorist organizations isn’t over, and also shed light on the unstable security situation due to the spillover from regional conflicts.
Bafel Jalal Talabani highlighted the need to continued presence of coalition forces in a way that meets today’s requirements to maintain peace and to supplement the existing security institutions in Iraq and KRI.
President Bafel offered continued efforts to strengthen the cooperation with PUK’s partners in KRG and the Government of Iraq. The importance of the upcoming regional elections and preparations to ensure the integrity and success of these elections were also a significant part of the discussions he had with the officials at the MSC2024.
