Qubad Talabani Calls for Supporting Talented Kurdish Citizens in UK

Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani met with Sarbaz Barzanji, Mayor of the London Borough of Lambeth, to discuss the significance of the Kurdish Diaspora in the United Kingdom.
During the meeting in Erbil on Thursday, James Goldman, the British Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, attended. Talabani expressed his congratulations to Barzanji, a Kurd who has achieved remarkable success in the UK, to the extent of becoming a governor. He hoped for greater achievements in the future.
One of the meeting's topics focused on strategies for effectively engaging with the Kurdish diaspora residing in the UK. Talabani advocated for the establishment of a platform aimed at nurturing the skills and talents of talented Kurdish people residing in the country, encompassing artists, athletes, and academics. The primary objective of this platform would be to enhance their abilities in order to contribute to the advancement of both the country and the Kurdish diaspora. He conveyed his willingness to provide coordination and support in relation to this matter.
During a different part of the discussion, they stressed the importance of enhancing collaboration to promote economic growth in areas that require increased employment possibilities for young individuals. They agreed that the UK along with other Western nations should cooperate to foster development in different parts of the Kurdistan Region.
