600 Members to Attend PUK's 5th Congress

The Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) determined that there should be 600 members in the 5th Congress of the PUK. Permanent members of the Supreme Council, the Political Bureau, and the Leadership will participate.
Talar Latif, the spokesperson for the 5th Congress of the PUK, told PUKMEDIA that the Political Bureau of the PUK has decided that 600 party members will attend the 5th Congress.
"The committees will determine how bureaus and organs of the PUK will participate in the congress, and the Political Bureau will then give its approval," she continued.
Talar Latif explained, "According to the amended rules, the Political Bureau will have approval authority once the president has given his approval."
The PUK Political Bureau met in Kirkuk on August 20, 2023, under the supervision of PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani, and it was decided that the PUK's 5th Congress would be held on September 27, 2023.
