Qubad Talabani: Kurdistan Region Has Benefited From Estonia's Advanced Expertise

PM, Deputy PM meet Estonian Defense Minister

Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, and Estonian Defense Minister discussed ways to strengthen military ties and combat terrorism. 

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani met with Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur to discuss ways to strengthen military and counterterrorism ties between Estonia and the Kurdistan Region. 

Qubad Talabani stated on his Facebook page, "We have received assistance and support from Estonia in recent years as part of the global coalition against ISIS." In light of this, we urged Estonia to maintain its support for the Kurdistan Peshmerga forces."

"We have benefited from the country's advanced expertise in both the military and the digitalization of government affairs," he added, "and we have requested a strengthening of ties in other areas."
