President Bafel Appreciates UK Government's Recognition of Yazidi Genocide

The President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Bafel Jalal Talabani, expressed gratitude to the British government and people for classifying the massacre of Yazidi Kurds as genocide. He continued by stating, "It is everyone's responsibility to protect the Yazidi Kurds' rights."

The British government's decision to recognize the genocide of the Yazidi Kurds is an important and encouraging step toward bringing attention to the crimes committed against Yazidis and Kurds in general.
We appreciate the British government and people for this historic decision and for their efforts to establish justice.

In Kurdistan, we are all obligated to increase our efforts to garner international support for the Yazidi Kurds' right to protection and the designation of the crimes committed against our people as genocide.
