Senior PUK Delegation Attends Lausanne Conference

The conference commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Treaty of Lausanne.
A senior delegation from
the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) led by Arez Abdullah, a member of the
PUK Political Bureau; Blesa Jabar Farman, a member of the PUK Leadership
Council; and Sheikh Shamal participated in the conference commemorating the
100th anniversary of the Treaty of Lausanne in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Arez Abdullah, head of the
PUK delegation, told PUKMEDIA:
"Most of the Kurdish parties and organizations, academics, intellectuals,
and personalities participated in the conference."
"They also discussed
the bad consequences of the Lausanne Treaty for the Kurdish people and how to
coordinate and work together peacefully to achieve their legitimate
rights," Abdullah said.
The conference, which began
on Sunday, July 22, 2023, will continue until July 24, 2023, to reject the
Treaty of Lausanne, which came into force on July 24, 1923, a century ago.
