The Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan sends a condolence message for the loss of British MP Ann Clwyd.

We are sad to hear the news of the passing of Mrs. Ann Clwyd, a former British MP and a great friend of the Kurdish people and the Iraqi people.

Mrs. Ann Clwyd has been a source of admiration and awe for the Kurdish people ever since she began advocating for and insisting on their cause during the Ba'ath dictatorship. She was also well-known for her friendship with President Mam Jalal.

Today, with the recent loss of this figure, the Kurdish people and democracy in Iraq have lost a great friend.
