Lieutenant Omar: Four 70th Forces Brigades Prepared for Transfer

Unit 70 Forces are preparing four brigades to join the Peshmerga Ministry this year, and the chief of staff of the 70 Forces stated: "We as the 70 Forces have not come short, but unfortunately the process has not been ordered by the Peshmerga Ministry and the Council of Ministers."

Regarding uniting the Peshmerga forces and transferring all units to staff of the Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs of the Kurdistan Region, Lieutenant Omar Salih, chief of staff of the Peshmerga's 70 Forces, said: "We have been accelerating our steps for two years, especially by transferring our 2nd Support Force, which was the most effective and largest force in this region, to the staff of the Peshmerga Ministry last year, and several other of our brigades have also been ordered to be transferred to staff of the Peshmerga Ministry."

"This year, we prepared four more brigades for transfer to the Peshmerga Ministry, but unfortunately, the matter is still not ordered by the Peshmerga Ministry and the Council of Ministers," he continued. "The Kurdistan Regional Government and the Peshmerga Ministry are responsible for ordering the transfer of the units and the 70 Forces have not come short in this regard."
