President Bafel Jalal Talabani honors CTG Directorate

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with Wahab Halabjay, Director General of the Counter-Terrorism Group (CTG).
Halabjay began the meeting by outlining his directorate's future intelligence and military strategy to protect the Kurdistan Region, combat terrorism, and coordinate with Iraqi and allied forces. He also highlighted the continuation of operations and the need to uphold regional stability.
In response, President Bafel Jalal Talabani expressed gratitude to the CTG forces for serving as the first anti-terror force in Kurdistan and for their efforts in battling terrorists and foiling several schemes to undermine the region's security.
President Bafel stated: "As Kurdistan’s dedicated and hardworking military leaders, you have set a fine example. Your efforts to protect the peace and security of the region and its valued inhabitants are a testament to your dedication and perseverance."
"Together with our allies, we will continue to build up the CTG forces until they are a formidable shield protecting Kurdistan," he added.
After the meeting, the PUK President presented the CTG Directorate with an award in appreciation of their efforts and sacrifices made for the welfare of Kurdistan and its people.
