Qubad Talabani to the brave Kurd of Britain: We are proud of you

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Qubad Talabani, has praised a Kurdish man for his courageous actions in saving 30 people from a fire last week.
39-year-old Kalar native and British citizen Sarwar Mahmoud observed a building on Wednesday catch fire because of an electrical short circuit. He hurried to assist those trapped, and by the time rescue arrived, he had saved the lives of 30 people. In the British press, he is known as "the brave man" and praised for his approach.
Mahmoud said that Qubad Talabani called him on May 24 to express gratitude to him for saving the lives of 30 people due to his courageous actions and to express his pride in him as a Kurd."
Mahmoud expressed his happiness at the Deputy Prime Minister's call and congratulations, saying that such actions are inspirational for all Kurds living abroad to present the Kurds in the best possible light to other nations.
