Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, congratulated the Kurdistan Teachers Union (KTU) on its founding anniversary.
Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani said in his message:
Dear President and Members of the Kurdistan Teachers Union Secretariat
To you and all the teachers in Kurdistan, I would like to send my heartfelt congratulations on the anniversary of the establishment of the Kurdistan Teachers Union.
The KTU has a rich history, both in terms of its involvement and significant role in the struggle for our people's liberation and its professional responsibility to educate many generations of students and defend the rights of teachers.
KTU's work is unquestionably more challenging than it had been in the past, because training the next generation of patriotic scientists is essential to the future of our nation. The KTU should actively participate in examining the educational system and advancing education in Kurdistan to achieve this goal.
I would like to thank all of the Kurdistan teachers again, and I wish your organization continued success.
