The PUK and UNAMI stress the importance of settling electoral disputes

The meeting between PUK and UNAMI in Erbil

The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and UNAMI in the Kurdistan Region met on Tuesday to discuss the electoral law issue as well as various other political matters.

Rafaat Abdullah, Executive Decision-Maker of the Political Bureau, received Ricardo Rodriguez, Head of the UNAMI Regional Office in Erbil.

During the meeting, Abdullah gave the visiting delegation PUK's legal and political recommendations for resolving the disagreements between the political parties.

Rodriguez also noted their previous suggestions for dealing with the issues surrounding elections in the Kurdistan Region. Opinions on a number of other political matters pertaining to the area and Iraq were also exchanged.
