PUK delegation discusses Iraqi budget and the electoral law with Iraqi officials

A senior delegation of the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), led by Rafaat Abdullah, Executive Decision-Maker of the Political Bureau, visited the Iraqi Minister of Justice, Dr. Khalid Shwani.
During the meeting, the Minister of Justice described the ministry's responsibilities concerning all legal matters involving federal government institutions. He also emphasized that every effort has been made to guarantee the rule of law and equal rights for all parties in all administrative units.
The delegation then visited Ammar al-Hakim, leader of the Iraqi National Wisdom Movement.
The two sides discussed the country's situation in general and emphasized the need to strengthen bilateral relations. The Iraqi budget and electoral law were also discussed, and both parties exchanged opinions and reached a conclusion on these matters.
The PUK delegation visited Nuri Al-Maliki, secretary-general of the Islamic Dawa Party.
The Iraqi budget and the electoral law were among the topics discussed during the meeting, which centered on the two parties' relationships. It was agreed that a deal must be struck in the best interests of the Iraqi people's rights.
Both parties stressed the significance of upholding the constitutionally guaranteed rights of the Iraqi people and taking these rights into account when drafting any laws, particularly those related to the budget and the electoral law, during the PUK delegation's meeting with Mohammed Al-Halbousi, Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament.
Later, the PUK delegation visited Abu Karar Al-Fariji, Secretary General of the Islamic Virtue Party. After highlighting their long-standing friendship, they had more in-depth discussions about the Iraqi electoral law and the overall budget.
The delegation also met with Hadi Al-Amri, the head of the Badr Organization, in a meeting that emphasizied on the relationship between the two parties, and they discussed the general budget and the Iraqi electoral law.
