Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani.
Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, congratulates the Kurds on the occasion of Newroz.
In his message, Qubad Talabani said:
We should all take the message of Newroz seriously and open the door to problem-solving, as Kurdish Newroz is traditionally associated with peace, unity, and the start of a new season.
Kurdistan is facing threats and opportunities. Despite our flaws, the Kurdish people have long tolerated us while calling for better services, a revival of the economy, and political stability. I urge everyone to take responsibility in this circumstance for the benefit of the people and work together to manage the current condition.
Let's work together to take advantage of this chance to reach a binding agreement with Baghdad. Let us establish the internal framework for free and fair elections in a way that doesn't disappoint our friends abroad while also boosting public confidence in our institutions.
We extend our hands in reconciliation and stand ready for any discussion regarding the internal issues in Kurdistan. We have never had and will never have personal demands, but we have always sought and defended the public's interests, and we believe this is what we all want. To fulfill these demands, we are prepared to take all necessary actions.
I would like to end by congratulating everyone on Newroz and wishing them a wonderful and happy holiday.
