Sulaymaniyah and the Single-Window System

The One Window system will be implemented in Sulaymaniyah offices for the first time in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. This is another project of Qubad Talabani, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, to serve citizens.

Qubad Talabani: We will rebuild trust between the government and the citizens

On his Facebook page, Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani wrote: "With the One Window system, we will improve management in institutions, reduce routine, save time for citizens, rebuild trust between the government and citizens, and reduce office congestion."

Single-Window will be activated 

Samir Hawrami, spokesperson for Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani, told PUKMEDIA that Talabani will announce the One Window system in several Sulaymaniyah offices on March 12, 2023.

"One Window is part of the service projects and a component of the digitalization of office operations," Hawrami explained. "It aims to improve the delivery of services to citizens, make it easier for them to complete transactions in government offices, and prevent routine and corruption."

"The first phase of the system's implementation will take place in five offices in Sulaymaniyah, followed by other offices in other provinces and administrations," he added.

Regarding the system's advantages, he stated: "The citizen submits the transaction through one window and receives the results." The employee will complete all transactions and the citizen will not be required to visit multiple rooms; this will eliminate routine and, consequently, corruption."

Qubad Talabani's efforts are appreciated

The initiatives of Qubad Talabani to digitalize the government and provide more services to citizens are hailed, and One Window is regarded as a significant step toward justice and the eradication of corruption.

Dr. Hersh Rasul, Dean of the Technical College of Management at Sulaymaniyah Polytechnic University, stated to PUKMEDIA: "The One Window system is one of the most significant projects implemented by Qubad Talabani, and it will serve the citizens similarly to Shafafiat."

"The One Window system will be an important step towards justice and the eradication of corruption," stated Dr. Rasul.

The One Window system that will be implemented in Sulaymaniyah's offices is a component of the service project that Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani presented in 2013 as part of a package that also included a reform project and the digitization of government affairs. Parts of the package, such as biometrics, services and registration of companies, Labor Law, and the digitalization of some government institutions, have been developed and are currently being implemented.
