President Bafel: We will continue our relations with the Chinese Communist Party

President Bafel and the Chinese delegation.
Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), emphasized that the PUK would maintain its longstanding relations with the Chinese Communist Party.
On Monday, February 14, 2023, a delegation from the People's Republic of China led by Zhu Rui, Assistant Minister of Foreign Relations Office of the Chinese Communist Party's Central Committee, was received by President Bafel.
The two parties addressed the situation in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq and highlighted the necessity for continuing coordination and collaboration, particularly in the political, economic, and cultural spheres, in order to promote the growth of the Kurdistan Region.
President Bafel reaffirmed the PUK's commitment to cultivating and bolstering the longstanding ties between the Kurdistan Region and the PUK with the Chinese Communist Party.
"President Mam Jalal has created the groundwork for this close connection, which we will sustain," he said.
The Chinese delegation stressed the strengthening of cooperation and continued support for the Kurdistan Region's growth and advancement in a variety of spheres.
