Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), denounced the burning of a Holy Quran in Sweden. 

President Bafel's statement said:

In Sweden, burning the Holy Quran is not an act of personal freedom; rather, it is an attempt to undermine the principles of peace and coexistence.

The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan respects all faiths and rejects attacks on religious sanctities.

As a cornerstone of the defense of human rights and individual liberties, we implore the Swedish government to take the necessary and legal measures to prevent similar situations from occurring again.
