Metro Center records 353 cases of violations against 260 journalists

The Metro Center for Defending the Rights of Journalists in the Kurdistan Region announced the number of violations against journalists during 2021.
During a ceremony in the city of Slemani, the Metro Center announced its report for 2021, and it recorded 353 cases of violations against 260 journalists and media institutions.
According to the report, among those recorded cases, there are 25 cases of arrests, 13 cases of threats, 7 cases of confiscating media supplies, two attacks on media outlets, and one case of a shooting.
