PUK Politburo Member Darbaz Kosrat Rasul's meeting with Soran Centre.
Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, member of the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), stressed that unity and strong organisational cohesion are essential to overcoming the political challenges facing the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
During a visit to PUK Centre 6 in Soran on Saturday, Rasul was welcomed by Karwan Gaznay, head of the centre, along with department heads, committee leaders, members of the centre's council, and a number of tribal elders, community leaders and prominent figures from the Soran Independent Administration.
Addressing the gathering, Rasul outlined the latest political developments in the region and provided an assessment of the current situation in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
He said the rapidly changing regional landscape requires political awareness, organisational discipline and strong national unity to safeguard the achievements of the Kurdish people and protect their legitimate rights.
Rasul also praised the people of the Soran region for their longstanding struggle and historic contribution to the Kurdish national movement. He said the region's legacy of sacrifice should continue to inspire public service and reinforce the importance of listening to the concerns and aspirations of citizens.
He reaffirmed his support for the work and programmes of the Soran Centre and expressed confidence in its leadership.
Rasul further described the participation of community leaders and respected elders as an important source of social strength, saying their continued support would play a vital role in strengthening the PUK's presence in the region.
For his part, Gaznay thanked Rasul for the visit. He and members of the headquarters reaffirmed their commitment to advancing the organisation's work with renewed determination and pledged to continue serving the people of the region with a strong sense of responsibility.
