PUK President Highlights Values of Sacrifice, Reform and Unity in Ashura Message

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), has issued a message marking the occasion of Ashura.

The text of the message reads as follows:

Ashura is a commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and his companions. It stands as a reminder of the triumph of truth over injustice and reflects the spirit of sacrifice in defence of the noble values of Islam.

Ashura conveys the highest lessons of humanity and self-sacrifice, inspiring efforts to uphold justice and pursue the path of reform.

On this solemn occasion, we reaffirm the importance of unity and collective action in serving our people. We must strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and solidarity in order to build a brighter future and uphold the noble principles for which so many sacrifices have been made.
