Iraq's Federal Commission of Integrity announced on Monday that it had carried out a series of operations during April 2026, resulting in the arrest of dozens of suspects across various governorates, as part of its ongoing efforts to combat corruption and promote integrity.

According to a statistical report issued by the Commission’s directorates and investigation offices, and reviewed by PUKMEDIA, a total of 181 operations were conducted. These included arrests of suspects as well as the seizure of case files and supporting documents.

The report stated that 74 of these operations led to the arrest of 168 individuals, while 107 operations involved the seizure of investigative case files.

It added that the operations were carried out across several governorates, with certain directorates recording a higher number of arrest warrants executed and investigations launched, particularly in cases related to administrative and financial corruption.

The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to pursuing individuals involved in corruption cases, enhancing transparency, and enforcing the law in coordination with the relevant judicial authorities.
